Consider your current organization that you are working for or the one you have worked for in the past. Suppose you are charged with a systems analysis project within your department and you decide to use the traditional methods of requirements gathering, in a 900 word (three page) APA paper (excluding title and reference pages), discuss:
What steps would you follow for requirements gathering?
Generally some of the problems with information systems analysis and design that arise later can be traced back to inadequate work during requirements determination phase.  What steps would you take to avoid such issues?

Old age is not so bad when you consider the alternatives.
-Maurice Chevalier, French actor, singer, and popular vaudeville entertainer (1888–1972)
Since 1900, the average life expectancy of persons in the United States has lengthened by more than 30 years, thanks in great part to efforts of public health professionals who strive to keep us healthy and free of injury. While none of us expects to be sick or injured, we often take for granted the health and safety measures, highlighted in your resources this week, that help us reduce our health risks.
To prepare for this Discussion, consider that the burden of disease for a community illustrates the gap between current health status of its residents and an ideal health situation where the entire population lives to an advanced age, free of disease and disability. Think about how public health closes that gap. Consider how the work of public health professionals and organizations can impact the Health-Adjusted Life Expectancy (HALE) and Disability Adjusted Life Years (DALY) as described in Chapter 2 of Public and Global Health Essentials.
By Day 4
Post a comprehensive response to the following:
Start your post with a brief description of a current or historic public health effort (i.e., water fluoridation) that is new, or surprising, from your Learning Resources (required and/or optional resources can be used).
Thinking about your daily activities, describe two specific instances where public health efforts, such as those identified in your learning resources (i.e., immunization), may have an impact on individuals you know.
Explain how your examples may impact the burden of disease addressed in your Learning Resources this week.
How would, or do, your examples of public health affect people in other, less developed, countries? Provide an example to illustrate your point.
Please be sure to cite your resources using APA style within your post.

(Examples of public health)
A refrigerator
Toilet
Immunization
Speed limit signal
Dietary label
Disaster relief
Condo
Bike helmet
Seat belt
Blood pressure
Miner/factory worker
Hand washing
No smoking

Consider the organization where you work, or an organization where you would like to work if you are not currently employed.•Create a Policy that would benefit your organization•Suggest some controls for your policy•Suggest an audit mechanismUse the following Format for your policy:
Overview
You should put one or two sentences here that summarize the policy and its purpose for management. This is typically an explanation of why the policy exists. Don’t be too technical.
Scope
This is where you define who or what the policy applies to, from all employees to only cashiers that handle cash in the front office. If it applies to equipment, it could be all equipment, all servers, all network connected equipment, or just company issued cell phones. Be specific.
Policy
This is where the policy is actually defined. Don’t be too specific, leave that to the procedures and controls that support the policy.
For example, a password policy might state that users cannot share passwords, passwords must be complex, help desk personnel never request passwords, and passwords must rotate periodically. The details of good password construction can be then put in a guideline document, instructions for the help desk on reseting passwords can be a procedure, and that Group Policy is used to force password changes every 60 days is a technical control. None of that should be in the policy, but it all needs to be properly documented and communicated to the people that need it – the guidelines to all staff, the help desk procedure to help desk staff, and the technical controls to the domain admins.
If you are in doubt remember that good policy statements talk about what the policy is trying to accomplish, and are addressed to a wide audience. Procedures and controls talk about how it is to be accomplished and are addressed to the staff that must carry it out.
Compliance Measurement
Typically, this section includes the job title of the person responsible for overseeing its implementation or the department if multiple people are responsible, a reference to audit mechanisms, and the consequences for failure to abide by policy.
Definitions, Related Standards, and Policies
This section usually contains definitions of technical or ambiguous terms, cross-references to applicable regulations, and other policies that relate to this policy. Examples include union contracts, discipline policies, and implementation guidelines. In our password policy example, this where readers would be told to consult the password construction guideline document.
Exceptions
If there any circumstances that might allow temporary exception to the policy, such as during an emergency, define them here. If there is anyone with the authority to temporarily waive the policy, they should be identified by job title. This section is often omitted since many policies do not allow any exceptions.
3-5 pages in length.

Assignment: Scenario: Implementing CATs
PART 1:
For this Assignment, consider how you would incorporate Classroom Assessment Techniques (CATs) into your learning plan that you started in EDUC 6757, and continued working on in EDUC 6758 and during this course. Use ideas from the Learning Resources and from additional research online to develop a plan for incorporating at least three CATs into your learning plan: one that you could use at the beginning of the course, module, or unit; one that you could use during the course, and one that you could use at the end of the course. Consider whether you could use clickers, as one of your methods, and if so, how.
Download the Classroom Assessment Planning Template found in the Learning Resources and use it to create your Classroom Assessment Plan. Next week, you will develop an actual CAT that you could implement with your students, and add it to this document. You will submit your Classroom Assessment Plan and your CAT in Week 6.
Next week, you will combine this assignment with the Week 6 Assignment and submit both together.
By Day 7 of Week 6
Complete the Classroom Assessment Planning Template. You will combine this assignment with your Week 6 Assignment and submit both next week.
Part 2

Assignment: Create a CAT
For last week’s Assignment, you developed a plan for incorporating Classroom Assessment Techniques (CATs) into your learning plan that you started in EDUC 6757. This week, you will develop an actual CAT that you could implement with your students.
Using the Classroom Assessment Planning Template you started last week, develop a complete version of one of your CATs and add it to this document. Your CAT should include at least the following sections:
The learning goal(s) you want your CAT to address or the question that you have about students’ learning
The specific questions you will ask or the activity you will have your students complete
A brief description of how you will make sense of the results
Your tentative plan for using the results and communicating them to the students
If one of the classroom assessment methods you chose was the use of clickers, after stating your learning goal, simply create a set of three to four questions that you would use with the clickers, and describe how you would integrate them into a class session.
Submit your complete Classroom Assessment Planning document including your CAT.

Choose ONE of these questions, consider how the value of Community relates to the situation and the importance of Community when conducting a statistical study.
1.  Our national debt can be found in many different sources with the statistics represented many different ways.  Identify three or more of these sources and discuss whether any of them provide a plan for future generations to be able to pay for our spending.
2.  What are your views on the country spending more money than it takes in?  Support your views with statistical reports or documentation.
3.  An “incentive” is often used to encourage people to participate in a study, such as free tickets to an event, money donated to a charity, a chance to win a prize, or even cash. How can an incentive create bias within the study?  Which group might likely be excluded in a study and which group might be over-represented when an incentive is used?
4.  Find a study that you should be cautious in interpreting because a group sponsors it or an organization that you believe might be biased on the issue being presented.  Explain whether any bias is apparent within the study.
5.  Find a study that can be interpreted in a way that could be harmful to a group in our society.  This could be very difficult to find; since one rule for any regulated research is that it will do no harm to animals or people.
6.  Should authors be held accountable for bias reports?  Why or why not?
